After some time off the air a new machine has been built to serve Kelowna's fire radio traffic. Currently it is in testing, so it may go off the air once in a while. At some point in the near future it'll be installed permanently.

When hearing Kelowna Fire Dispatch I can hear a clicking over the feed. Is that just because you have the priority turned on?

Yup. I may change things around and use a 3rd scanner for the paging ch only and use a relay to switch audio. That would remove the clicking. I find it quite annoying actually.

It is quite annoying, I find you miss out on alot of the conversation with the pri flicking back & forth... I dont use it on any of my scanners. Worst feature ever.

I quite like that with priority on you can hear the dispatches though. I don't find the clicking really noticeable myself.
