The Baynes Lake Volunteer Fire Department (BLVFD) is a volunteer department operating out of 1 station, located at 3550 Baynes Lake Dump Rd. The BLVFD provides Level 2 First Responder for BCAS and has MVA rescue capabilities. The BLVFD fire protection and first responder response area extends from south of 9.7 km south of Jaffray Baynes Lake Rd, to 1 km before the junction of Highway 3/93 and Kikomun Rd, to the junction of Kimomun Rd and highway 3/93 to the end of Gavin Rd and the junction of Fitzpatrick Rd and Highway 93. THE JVFD provides MVA services to an extended response area which extends from highway 3 to the Elk River Canyon, Jaffray Baynes Lake Rd north to Jaffray, all of Newgate Rd, Caven Creek to the Linklater junction to the end of Kinklater and Teepee Creek Rd to the junction of Teepee and Gold Creek.
