Port Coquitlam, British Columbia
Located in the Tri Cities region of Metro Vancouver, Port Coquitlam is the smaller counterpart to the larger city of Coquitlam, British Columbia. As of 2007, about 55,000 people call the city of Port Coquitlam home. Port Coquitlam is served by a fire department, Port Coquitlam Fire/Rescue, the Coquitlam detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and by the British Columbia Ambulance Service for emergency health services.
The RCMP operate a detachment in Coquitlam that also serves Port Coquitlam and the villages of Ammore and Belcarra in addition to it's own city. Coquitlam RCMP operate on the E-Comm WARS trunked radio system which is an EDACS 800MHz trunked radio system. The communications use ProVoice digital and cannot be monitored on any commercially available scanner. Coquitlam RCMP operations may be received on the Port Coquitlam, Burnaby, Vancouver, Surrey, and South Surrey WARS sites.

All police departments and RCMP detachments in Metro Vancouver also have access to a large number of police mutual aid channels allowing them interoperability while working in other jurisdictions or with other agencies such as Fire and Ambulance.
Coquitlam RCMP are dispatched out of their main detachment headquarters located at 2986 Guildford Way Coquitlam, BC. During regular staffing, there are 2 dispatchers - 1 dispatch, 1 information specialist, and ? dedicated call takers on duty. Like all law enforcement agencies in British Columbia, Coquitlam RCMP are on the PRIME CAD system for effective police dispatch and records management.
Port Coquitlam Fire-Rescue provides fire and first-responder services to the city of Port Coquitlam. They only have two halls now but a third hall could be built in the future. Hall 1 is located at 1725 Broadway St, is the main headquarters, and serves the south end of town. Hall 2 is located at 3186 Toronto St, and serves the Northside area. Because of Hall 2's location, it may be able to cover Coquitlam if neccessary.

Port Coquitlam Fire/Rescue are currently being dispatched out of Surrey Frehall #1. This communications centre provides dispatch services for thirty Metro Vancouver fire departments.
In Port Coquitlam, BCAS is dispatched on Channel 1 which is now a part of ECOMM WARS. The talkgroups listed below all use ProVoice Digital and cannot be monitored with commercially available scanners.
