Introduction

Victoria is the capital city of the Province of British Columbia. It is the second largest city in the Capital Regional District after the district of Saanich. As of 2006, Victoria has had a population of about 75,390 people, and was ranked the 63rd most populated city in all of Canada. Victoria operates a city police department, fire department, and makes use of the British Columbia Ambulance Service all of which use the regionwide CREST System.
